Low Melting Point Glass Sealing
Low Melting Point Glass (LMPG) sealing has rapidly become the preferred choice for customers requiring high performance hermeticity over extra wide operating temperature ranges (-55C; +100C) at the most competitive cost.
It provides a very reliable compressive seal for any fiber type and for fiber counts from 1 to 16.
AFP’s LMPG hermetic assemblies are small form factor and exceptionally
competitive compared to single fiber hermeticity with cost break-even
points below 8 fibers.
The LMPG hermetic feed-through’s withstand the toughest Telcordia, Military/Aerospace
or Oil-and-Gas reliability tests, where metalized solder solutions often
fail.
