Advanced Fiber Products, (AFP), is based at Haverhill in the UK within the high tech corridor of the famous university city of Cambridge in the East of England.
The 20,000 sq.ft. factory features 10,000 sq. ft of specialized fiber assembly manufacturing space including Class 10,000 clean rooms, an ESD protected environment, development laboratory and engineering facilities.
Engineering capability highlights include a SEM lab, PVD metallization equipment, active alignment rigs, environmental test chambers, leak testing, precision OTDR, mechanical test and sectioning and model shop.
Engineering design tools extend to both optical and Pro-E CAD modeling. New investments will soon include additional machining and in-house electroless plating.
The site has room for expansion through the next 5 years of the company’s planned growth.
